Opening Prayer/Devotion

Hope Olson opened the meeting with a devotion and prayer.

Attendance:

Agenda discussion items

  • Parking Lot – Joe/All
    • Review new estimate – Asphalt Plus: $28 – 30K to replace southeast portion of East lot, plus $6550.00 for reseal & restripe
    • Next steps:
      • ‘Feasibility study’: direct/personal appeals to potential donors
      • Capital campaign would be needed; Mandy Bernick, Joe Fewer, Donna Boatman and Pastor Melissa will take lead on this.
      • Donna Boatman will draft a communication plan.
  • Exterior siding – Kathy:
    • Ernie Schultz, Kathy Sommer and Kevin Sommer examined the condition of the siding.
    • Siding is rotting in many areas; No sheathing beneath siding on short wall outside mechanical room; Caulk would be very difficult to remove. Does not make sense to power-wash and restain, as areas of the siding would disintegrate from the pressure of the power-washer.
    • Kathy to ask Kevin to obtain estimate for materials for short wall and patching of rotten areas of other walls.
    • Kathy to ask her neighbor who has a siding business to look at electrical box and comment on whether he removes/replaces these for customers, or if he uses an electrician.
  • Giving Team/Committee update – Tracy/Donna/All
    • Tracy and Mandy will be reaching out to individuals to join the Giving Team; goal is to have 7-8 members.
    • 5-6 meetings before October
    • Launch campaign in October
  • St. Paul Saints game: Sunday, July 13th – David Burleigh
    • 25 minimum needed for group ticket order
    • $20 per ticket
    • Seats will be sheltered.
  • Servant Keeper: David Burleigh
    •  Servant Keeper will stop automatically uploading Vanco transactions; financial secretary would have to manually enter these transactions.
    •  Monthly rate increasing to $70/month (current $60)
    • Kathy Sommer and Pastor Melissa will research alternatives and report back to council.
  • School Carnival Update:
    • Last Friday at Middle School
    • The event went well; temporary tattoss were a hit again this year
  • Prescott Library – kick off to summer event: Hope Olson
    • June 3rd from 4-6 pm
    • Will be held in Library parking lot
    • Will hand out Thrivent T-shirts and popcorn
    • Free will donation to Library

2025 Fall Event:  Sept. 21   Kelly in charge; no theme yet

  • 4/29 – 5/8 – Pastor to Amsterdam
  • Supply pastor on May 4th Rick Biederman; Pastor Tim Booth will be available for any pastoral needs.
