Mark your calendars!!! This year, the 15th Annual Joy Plant Market is planned for Mother’s Day weekend, Saturday, May 13, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday, May 14, from 10:30 am to noon. Come and get your plants for the growing season. And while you’re at it, you might as well pick up something for Mom! This continues to be a community fundraiser with proceeds going to various charities.
Bobbie Flatz is this year’s chairperson and needs your volunteer help in the following areas:
* Donating perennial, annual, and vegetable plants (need to be clearly marked with provided plant markers listing plant name, sun/shade and bloom color, and perennials need to be in 1 gallon pots or larger).
* Plant Drop-off – Friday, May 12, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Joy.
* Volunteering for Saturday and/or Sunday activities .
* Donating money to allow Joy to disburse more of the proceeds. Plant Market envelopes are available in the narthex. Place in the offering plate or in the slot in the Welcome Center. Or use the credit card kiosk.
* Getting the word out to neighbors and friends.
